1. Who can apply?

Undergraduate and graduate students and graduates, R&D Center employees, and representatives from the industry can apply.

2. Who organizes it?

The symposium is organized by a competent team headed by Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Atilla Evcin. (See https://www.jcharacterization.com/318-kurullar&lang=1)

3. Is it possible to participate with more than one paper?

Yes, but additional papers are subject to a fee.

4. Is it necessary to apply with the full paper?

Applications must be made with only a 250-400 word Turkish and English abstract in the first stage. There is no obligation to send a full text.

5. Will the abstracts and full texts of the symposium papers be published?

The abstract booklet will be published online on our page before the symposium. The Proceedings Book, where the full texts are published, will be published online at a date after the symposium.
6. Can we participate as listeners?

Yes, you can participate as listeners.

7. How can I access the writing guide for the papers to be presented?

8. Is it possible to send papers to the symposium in foreign languages?

The languages ​​of the papers accepted to the symposium must be English and Turkish.

9. How many authors can there be in a paper?

There is no restriction on the number of authors in the paper. The responsible author is expected to present the paper. However, each author must pay a separate fee for registration.

10. Does the symposium meet the International criteria?

Yes. It meets all the conditions in the definition of an international symposium.

11. Is it valid for associate professorship?

The symposium complies with the ÜAK Associate Professorship Application Requirements. The symposium is organized in cooperation with domestic and international universities and organizations. The Scientific Board includes representatives from domestic and international universities, organizations and industries.

12. Is it in compliance with the Academic Incentive Regulation?

Yes. It meets all the requirements of the Academic Incentive Regulation.

13. How can I participate in the symposium?

You can participate in the symposium as an oral presentation or a poster presentation.

14. How can I understand that my presentation has been accepted?

Presentations at the symposium will be accepted through the Microsoft CMT system. Therefore, you can instantly see the updates in your presentation. The acceptance status will be notified via CMT.

15. When can I get my participation certificate?

Your participation certificate will be presented by the responsible personnel as soon as you make an oral or poster presentation.

16. Can I convert my presentation into an article?

You can have your presentation published in the journals we have determined as long as it is not published as a full text in a book.

17. Is there a fee for the symposium?

18. Are accommodation and transportation expenses covered?

Accommodation, transportation, etc. expenses/expenses are the responsibility of the participants. If the participant wishes, they can apply to TUBITAK, 2224-B Domestic Scientific Events Participation Support Program. 19. How long is the presentation time at the symposium? What opportunities will be provided?

15 minutes will be given for the oral presentations of the symposium. There are computers, projectors, pointers in the symposium hall. There will be stands and glue to hang posters prepared in 70x100 cm dimensions for poster presentations.

20. What services are included in the registration fees?

The symposium registration fee includes coffee breaks, lunches, and promotional products within the scientific program.

21. I want to attend the symposium with my spouse / child with accommodation, what should I do?

The accommodation price list includes single accommodation fees. Before the organization, you can e-mail the dates you want to stay with your spouse and child and your child´s birth date to isc25.submission@gmail.com and request price information.

22. Can I send a paper by e-mail?

The only valid method of sending papers is to send papers via the Microsoft CMT system, which the symposium has an agreement with. Papers sent via e-mail, regardless of the system, will not be accepted. You can visit the "Submission of Papers" page to access detailed information about paper submission.

23. Will there be a peer review of the papers?

Yes. The author will be informed after each submitted paper is peer reviewed.

24. What information should be included in the abstract?

In abstracts, information should be given about the purpose of the study, the experimental study and the results rather than general literature information.

25. Can I re-present a study that I have previously presented at another symposium/conference/congress?

No. The studies must be original. The author is responsible for this.

26. How can I access the abstracts and full texts of symposiums held in previous years?
