Prof. Dr. Atilla Evcin is a faculty member in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Afyon Kocatepe University´s Faculty of Engineering. Born in Kilis in 1967, he completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering at Anadolu University. He began his academic career at Afyon Kocatepe University, where he completed his doctorate in 2003 and continued his work in the field of ceramics and materials engineering, receiving the title of professor in 2020. His research areas include nanomaterials, porous materials, bioceramics, zeolite and polymer membranes, and the production of advanced ceramic powders. Evcin has numerous national and international scientific publications and is also the organizer of the International Symposium on Characterization (ISC) and the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Characterization. |
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Ünveroğlu Abdioğlu is a faculty member in the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies in Materials Engineering at Gebze Technical University and received her doctorate from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses particularly on energy materials, fuel cells, semiconductors, and ceramic-based functional materials. In addition to her academic work, she conducts scientific projects in the fields of energy technologies and material characterization and participates in international academic activities. |
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Tabak is a researcher at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), working at the TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute (UME) and previously at the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Materials Institute. She received her Ph.D. in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Kocaeli University in 2018. Her research focuses particularly on functional ceramics, bioceramics, nitride-based materials, refractory ceramics, and advanced material characterization. She participates in numerous national and international projects and has published many scientific articles and conference papers. She also plays a role in the organization of the International Symposium on Characterization (ISC) held in Turkey and actively contributes to scientific activities.
